A Kind of Remembering

All music by Steve Lynch

Mastered by John Webber @ AIR Studios, London.

“A Kind of Remembering” is a sort of memory book. For some reason, my auditory memory is much stronger than my visual. My memories are mostly made up of tastes, smells and sounds. This album is an attempt to explain all that. Throughout the album you hear snippets of moments: cricket chirps from a honeymoon in Montenegro are the percussion that open "Morning Lull"; the pebbled beach close to where we used to live in Bray is the main rhythm on "The Daydreamer"; birds where we live now in Salthill, Galway are a melodic element in "I wanted that to be"; and little melodies and words from my kids when they were smaller are all over it. It's sort of a tapestry of my existence over the last ten years.
